Brand & graphic design

Logos and identities that work on the web and on paper.

  • Logos
  • Identity
  • Print

You have an idea and it needs a form people can see. That is the job.

A brand is more than a logo: it is what makes you recognisable across everything you put your name on. I help you build one your clients engage with, and make sure it holds together on a screen and on paper.

What I help you with

  • Logo design

Your logo is the face of your company. I design one that says what you stand for, and that you are still happy with in five years.

  • Brand & identity

A brand is more than a logo. Colour, type, and the rules that keep it recognisable wherever it turns up.

  • Print & digital design

Anything on paper or on a screen can be designed. Tell me what and where, and I will come up with something good.

  • Social media content

The imagery you need to publish well, and a plan for what to put out.

How it runs

  1. 01Meeting & briefI start by listening. Tell me about the project, what you stand for and who you are talking to, and we write a brief and a budget from it.
  2. 02Discovery & researchThe most important part, and a collaborative one: it is what finds the right direction instead of a nice-looking wrong one.
  3. 03Ideation & designWhere the magic happens. I work up the routes the brief points at, and you see the idea start to take form.
  4. 04Presentation & refinementI present the routes and we talk them through. You choose a direction and we refine it until it is right, before anything is approved.
  5. 05DeliveryFinal files, in every format you will need, and a guide to which is which.

Every project includes

  • Routes to choose between, not one take-it-or-leave-it.
  • Vector originals, plus versions sized for screen and for print.
  • A short guide to using it, so it still looks right a year later.

Questions clients ask

How long does a logo take?

Two to four weeks as a rule. Most of that is thinking; the drawing is the quick part.

What files do I get?

Everything you need to use it: vector originals, versions for screen and print, and a short note on which to use where.

What if I do not like the first idea?

You will see routes rather than one answer, and refining the one you pick is a stage of the process, not an extra.

Do I own the logo?

Yes. The work is yours once it is paid for, originals included, with no licence to renew.

How much does a logo cost?

I quote after a first conversation. It depends on how much of the identity you need, not on how many drawings it takes to get there.

How a quote happens

  1. 01We talk, on a call or in a meeting, and you tell me about the project.
  2. 02I write it up: what I’d build, in what order, and what each part costs.
  3. 03A fixed price per phase, so you know what the next step costs before it starts.
